I was playing on my 3DS today and initially everything worked normally. I was able to play Pokemon Alpha Sapphire and Super Smash Bros 4 with no problems. But then suddenly I began another match in super smash bros and certain buttons were not working properly. I could only execute normal (A button) and special (B button attacks) when in the air. When I don't press anything, the shield is activated. When I use the circle pad to move, I either do a standing or rolling dodge. This severely hinders my ability to play the game.
I tried other games (Alpha Sapphire, Omega Ruby, X) and other problems occurred. For example, when I scroll down in my bag to look for a specific item, once i let go of the control or the circle pad, the list scrolls back up automatically to the top. In battle, when I select an attack the description screen appears but it won't let me execute the attack, preventing me from completing any battles. And when I go to the PC, the screen scrolls too fast for me to select a Pokemon. This even was the case when I used a DS Pokemon game Pokemon White.
In the home screen of the 3DS, "Press L and R to activate the camera" appears on its own. It doesn't usually do that.
If you have any advice for how to deal with this situation please let me know. This came out of the blue and I already had to send in my 3DS to be replaced because of a screen issue just last month so I'm really upset another issue has come up.
