[FIXED] Wi-Fi woes

$

I just applied the 9.2.9-20U system update this morning and popped the new Pokemon Alpha Sapphire into my card slot. As I played on, errors forcing me to shut the system down started becoming more and more frequent. Now, I can't even turn on the wi-fi without it crashing with the same error.

Some said this problem stems from the Wi-Fi card, so I turned off the Wi-Fi and was able to play for a considerable amount of time. As soon as I turned the Wi-Fi on, the error pops up.

Some have been able to fix this issue by taking apart the system and re-seating the Wi-Fi card. I tried that, but it doesn't work for me at all. The same error plagues me as soon as I turn on the Wi-Fi as before.

What is wrong? How can I fix this?

My sister recieved a Zelda 3ds as a gift about a year ago and used the code with it for Link between Worlds on it. Recently the game disappeared from the home screen and is gray in the memory option. She was banned from Miiverse for reasons she didnt know, and her NNID was also removed, I assume because of that. Is there any way to get it back or is it lost to the aether of the SD card's memory?

Pokemon Omega Ruby freeze glitch?

Hello,

I was playing my copy of Omega Ruby (physical, not downloaded), when I encountered a freezing glitch. I was having some trouble getting to Secret Shore, and after a while of having to go back forth, decided to save my game quickly while I dove underwater on Route 130. I tried resurfacing, but my game froze. Staring at it, I waited until the game shut down and my 3DS showed the message: "And error has occurred, forcing the software to close. The system will now restart."

Okay. So I restarted it and tried again. Same thing. I've taken the game out, gently cleaned it, tried swimming underwater to another Route and saving, restarting the system multiple times, and nothing. The same messages appears whenever I try to essentially switch to another screen - resurface, open the map, enter my bag etc. I'm stuck underwater because I can't fly anywhere.

I'm fairly frustrated. I've invested 50 hours into this game and worked for almost all of the catchable legendaries and Mega Evolutions. My 3DS XL is up to date, as well as my OR game (ver. 1.2). If anyone has a solution to this, I'd be eternally grateful. Thanks for any input.

Transferring data from one sd card to another

I had gotten a bigger SD card so I can do more with it. How do I transfer my old SD card data into my new SD card?

Error Code: 009-4072 "The SD Card may not be inserted or was inserted during use of the system..."

I have a 3DS XL and recently upgraded to a 32GB SD Card. I transferred all the data from my previous (4GB) SD card by dropping it onto my computer, then moving it from my computer to the new (32GB) SD card. At first, everything looked fine; my digital download of "Animal Crossing: New Leaf" was still there and looking fine, all the icons on the home screen were accounted for, the background was blue the way I like it, etc. The problem started, however, when I started up "Streetpass Mii Plaza." There was a loading screen, then I get the following error message:

"Error Code: 009-4072

An error has occured.

-The SD Card may not be inserted or was inserted during use of the system. Please turn off the power, and then insert the SD Card and try again.

-Please check that the SD Card is not write-protected."

WP_20141207_006.jpg

I tapped "OK" and it continued on to the Mii Plaza. Everything looked normal, but I was missing the streetpass games I purchased, and only had the two that came with the 3DS: "Puzzle Swap" and "Find Mii I & II." "Mii Force," "Flower Town," "Warrior's Way," and "Monster Manor" are all missing, yet in the Mii Plaza Settings menu, I have the option of clearing data from those games.

The Nintendo support error code look-up interprets 009-4072 as a problem connecting to the internet. I submitted a ticket online to Nintendo Support...

...but havn't gotten a reponse yet. I called customer support, and they weren't able to find the error code or help me fix the problem.

Unfortunately, I didnt back up my data after the first transfer, but I've backed it up on my computer since. What I've found is that an empty SD card (the 4GB or the 32GB; doesn't matter) doesn't encounter the error, but EITHER SD card with the data on it encounters the error. Nothing else seems to be affected other than "Streetpass Mii Plaza." I'm starting to think I'm just going to have to wipe everythign and start from scratch, but I've been playing a lot of "Animal Crossing: New Leaf" and that would just be a major bummer.

Game card not reading after 3DS power went dead

So my 3DS power died somehow while I was at school, I tried to turn it on once and was met with a quick flash with a red light to show me that it was dead. I recharged it and now my Alpha Sapphire card will no longer read. All of my other games are read just fine by the system so the problem isn't with the 3DS. It can't really be dust or anything because the card has been in my system for a long time (and just in case I did try blowing on it like the old days, albeit gently).

I think my cartridge might have shorted out or something when the 3DS died, or when I tried to turn it on with no battery left? Is there any fixes for this other than getting a new game? I spent $40 on release for the game, so yeah...

1.0.4-SSB-3DS

Dear Nintendo,

I just checked and 1.0.4 is still the latest version of Super Smash Brothers for the 3DS.  1.0.4 is the first version I think that requires everyone else to update their 3DS Super Smash Brothers game.  This has been a problem for me because my sister is not comfortable with updating her version because of the crazy agreement that each player must agree to in order to download an update.  Up until 1.0.4 I was allowed to play my Super Smash Brothers game with her... that's why I bought Super Smash Brothers.  Please reenable me to play SSB on the 3DS with my sister in version 1.0.5!  (She has no version... hasn't updated.)

I'm sorry I tried to contact you Nintendo... but this turned out to be the only way I could find to send you this note.  Hope you get this.

Thank you for reading and thinking about this,

Constant Disconnects

Hello. To begin with, I have a standard 3DS. I'm copying what I wrote on another site.

Anyway, the problem I'm having is when playing online, I'll randomly disconnect. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to it. Sometimes I can get in a dozen or so matches in Smash Bros. without any problems and other times I can't even finish one. The specific Error Code I'm getting is 003-4099. I know what that one is and I'm as close to the router as I could humanely be, so that can't be the problem. It could have something to do with my router, but my 3DS is the only thing in my house that has trouble seemingly staying connected.

I have AP&P U-Verse and the router is the Motorola NVG510 (yes, THAT router). My security settings is WPA-2-PSK. I've fiddled with every darn setting I can think of and have had no luck getting the connection consistent. This doesn't just happen in Smash either, but every game I go online with on my 3DS. I'm thinking I can't be the only one in the world with this problem, so do any of you here have any ideas on what I could do? This is extremely frustrating and makes playing online a headache.

If I haven't given enough information in this post or haven't been clear enough, let me know and I'll try to answer any questions youstallions have.

Thanks in advance.

I recently got a new 8G SD card to replace my old 2G one for my 3DS. Both cards have games on them, and I want to transfer them all onto the 8G one, but when I tried, the games from the old card did not show up on my 3DS. Is there any way to fix this? I don't want to lose my game data.

I recently downloaded Alpha Sapphire. I just helped Wally catch his Ralts, and now every time my pokedex comes up, my entire game crashes. I keep my save data (so far), but I can't progress in the game. Is there some kind of patch I need...? I'm running v1.2.

I have recently bout my 2ds from a stranger at the mall and it was fine and all buttons worked. My 2ds works perfectly fine but my R button stays responding when i do not touch it.

For example; I would turn my 3ds on and the Camera will show up on the upper screen and the R button will automatically darken as if i pressed it and i dont even touch it.

This can get so annoying when i play a game because most of the actions i cannot do because of the stuck button it think.

I need answers, if you help me i will allways remeber you when i play my 2ds

PLEASE HELP ME!

Circle pad pro connection lost

Here is the story:

I recently purchased a circle pad pro which just delivered today. The reason i bought it is because playing monster hunter on 3ds is very uncomfortable and i dont want to suffer from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in the future. One of my friend recommend this as a solution. After i got it,I bought some new AAA batteries and did exact the same things which are writing on those papers.I put a battery in,turn my 3ds off,put 3ds in then turn it on.I after several minutes exploration,i finally activatied it in mh3u,but it showed "Circle pad pro connection lost" after a few minutes.I thought it might be the so-called"standby mode". But i can not "wake it up" by press ZR or LR. Anyway, i fixed it by repeat all those steps over again. Then i try to play, but it was "lost" right after i got into the village, which is right after i loaded my save file.I thought maybe give it one more chance, so i fixed it by did those all over again, the third time, including switching another battery. This time, i lost it during a serious fight.I was trying to switch item(press L + Y/A)to potion and heal myself but it didnt switch. Then i tried to use the right circle pad,it didnt work either.I checked the place where the pro and 3ds connect wirelessly, they are clean.

Here is my conclusion:

There are several possible causes.First, as most of the results i searched on the internet say,the battery is bad.Which means the brand new batteries i bought 2 2 hours ago are not working.Which is unlikely.Second,my one-month-old 3ds has some problem.Which is relatively good, because i have warrenty from target.Third, the two-hours-old cpp has problem.Which means i may have to suffer again and again and again in the frozen winter , waste much more money(much more than the cpp itself) to return, fix or get a replacement.Fourth, somehow, something above my imagination and understanding happend.

So my sincerely tech support staff and whoever is reading this, offer me some suggestions, please.

3DS wifi black screen problem?

Hey everyone!

I bought my 3DS around a year ago and haven't touched it much. Recently I decided to start up the system again and I can't get anywhere because it will give me the error screen and tell me close the power. I can't even get into any apps or programs because the same thing happens. I got a suggestion from a friend to close off my wifi and everything is fine now, but obviously I cannot enjoy any online content. Does anyone know what's really going on? I might just try to get a repair from Nintendo but does this count as a physical damage?

Thanks.

Question about sending 2DS in for support

I've reread the little guide for sending in 2DS's to get fixed, but it only says "If sending in a 2DS, be sure to include the SD card."

Does this apply to 2DS? Will I get my SD card back?

Thanks for answers

I can't get Super Mario Bros. game for DS to work on our new 3DS-XL

I have tried doing what the manual says (Put game card in while the game is off, turn the power on, hold down "select" or "start" and tap the game icon).  I have tried both select and start and even both of them together.  I've also tried all three while tapping "open"  I keep getting an error message:  "An error has occurred.  Press and hold the POWER Button to turn the system off.  Please refer to the Operations Manual for details."

I checked the operations manual and the nearest thing I could find was that my parental controls might be set to block it... but I can't see that they are anywhere.  They look fine and I think the starting function is only supposed to correct the 3D and screen size (the manual says) so I'm not seeing what would be blocking it.

New to all this gaming stuff... but my 8 year old is getting pretty frustrated with me! Help!!!!!

Hello

I accidentally formatted my sd card and when I unformatted it all the files on the sd card are not in folders and just there.

Is there a way to fix this?

Help? Please? DX

I need help with my Nintendo ID

Hello! I recently purchased a 3ds xl. When I tried to do a system transfer, I received an error  that my wi-fi isn't working. We have the fastest wi-fi available for at&t  (50mb per second) but the error happens every time. The only reason I'm doing this is to get my nintendo id to transfer. Since this happened twice, I tried formatting the system. On the new 3ds xl I tried to log into my nintendo id. It said that it was still connected to another 3ds family. I have never logged into a nintendo id on my new 3ds xl. My 3ds xl is brand new. How can I fix this? Thanks for your time.

How to transfer data between SD cards?

$

I have three SD cards, one having Pokemon Y, Animal Crossing, and Luigi's Mansion downloaded on it, another with Pokemon Ruby, and one with my save data for Fantasy Life. I ran into a problem with space, so I wanted to move everything all onto one SD card. I was wondering if it was possible to move all of the data from all three cards onto one? If not, is it possible to move save data from an SD card to the system?

Thank you!
