I just bought my 3ds about two days ago and i found out that the touch screen will stop working all of a sudden and the stick will just start moving by itself. This lasts about 30 seconds to a minute and then everything works again. i dont know what i should do? i have already calibrated both items and nothing has worked. Help?

Tomodachi Life: Question on Deleting a Save File
I'm planning on restarting my game over but I happen to streetpass someone and got his/her traveler on my island. I was wondering if the traveler will also be deleted if I delete my save data.
Thank you.
Error 009-8111 and corrupt data
I was trying to play one of my mii plaza games that you download from the Nintendo eshop, and after it saves, a screen opens on my 3ds titled Error Code 009-8111. when I looked up the error code on the site, it said that meant that it was unable to connect to an access point. However, this doesn't correspond with what I saw on my 3DS. the message the Error Code came with said that the downloaded game on the SD card was corrupted. It was the one game that apparently had this issue, as the other downloaded games I have on work just fine.
I don't know if this is something serious enough to force me to get either a new SD card or new 3DS system, which I really hope doesn't happen. I deleted the corrupted game to be safe, but I have a fear that the corruption has spread without me knowing like a computer virus would to a computer's harddrive. I am especially worried about my physical copies of games getting corrupted from what happened.
basically, there are two things I would like to have clarified,
1. Is it safe to use my 3ds, whether I keep the current SD card or not?
2. Do I need to replace the SD card I currently have?

SD Card question
(Being my first post, I'm sorry if I did something wrong.)
Alright, so my sister is going to some music festival soon and wants to record as much as she can. Her camera has a 4GB card, but we're not sure if that'll be enough for her. My 3DS has an 8GB card.
I'm wondering what will happen to the games and DS ware stuff I've downloaded if I change the 8GB card for the 4GB card. Do I need to try backing up any data, or is it all saved on the card and I can just transfer from one card to another on my computer? I just don't want to lose all the data from my games.
2DS Water Damage!
Okay, so yesterday my little 2-Year-Old sister walked into my room with an orange permanent marker, SOMEHOW got a hold my 2DS, and proceeded to draw all over the touch screen. >~< So, I made the FOOLISH mistake of trying to clean it off with a wipie, which worked, but it screwed up the screen. Somehow, water got under the screen, and whenever I wanted to use it, it would register at the very bottom middle of the screen. Everywhere I poked. And I mean EVERYWHERE!
So I did the first thing that came to mind and let the thing sit in a bag of rice overnight. And what changed? Nothing. No, worse an nothing. The screen didin’t respond at all. Now, as time has passed, there has been less moisture in the screen, but I’m not sure if that’s a good thing. It still isn’t responding, and I’m afraid it’s just going further into the system. If anyone knows how to fix this, since I don’t know the state of he warrety with it being a Christmas present (but with me having it for almost a year, I doubt it’s still there,) can you please tell me? >~< I’d appreciate any suggestions here!
Thanks!
Syd
[ERROR - URGENT] Animal Crossing: New Leaf
Hey guys,
A strange error is occuring for the second time (in the first time I had to wipe my save game data as restart anew).
Everytime I go to the Main Street, the game crashes and the default error message appear: "An error has occured".
I tried the following things:
- I have the cartridge version, so no repair or redownload option is possible;
- made another character, same problem;
- my friend visited my town, everything's OK until he tries to go to the Main Street, same crashing;
- tried on another 3DS, same crashing.
I won't accept start a new game for the second time, this time I'll sell the game and forget it.
20$ gone?
I tried to put money onto eshop using my credit card but the money didnt go to eshop but it still took the money crom my credit card.... is there anything I can do?
Need Help Fixing my 3DS.
Hi there. This is the first time I've ever posted here so please forgive me if I seem a bit nervous.
Last week, I went down to my sister's place to help look after her kids while she went away on important business. I had brought my 3DS with me to play with them, but one night while I was charging it, I tripped over the power cord and sent it flying against a hard surface. Cosmetically, the 3DS is fine. But now whenever I turn it on the screen either stays black with no sound, or it boots up to the menu screen only to freeze instantaneously (though the music is curiously unaffected.
My initial guess is that something might have gotten knocked loose inside the 3DS itself, but I will openly admit that I'm not the most technologically-gifted individual in the world and I'm way too scared to even attempted to open it up for fear of making the problem worse. At the same time, however, I cannot just simply go out and replace both it and all the games I've downloaded onto it simply because I have no money to my name, nor will I for God only knows how long; so repairing it is probably my only option.
If anyone out there has any insight or info on how to go about fixing this, please do not hesitate to contact me or reply to this post. I really don't want to end up loosing my 3DS because it's not only how I play my 3DS games, but also how I play my normal DS games as well.
3DS Black Screen of Death 2013
Towards the end of April, I was playing Pokemon Black 2 on my 3DS. I closed the lid one night and let it sleep. Over the course of the night the battery died. I woke up the next morning and tried to turn it on. It turned on for a little but then died again because it didn't have enough juice. I plugged in the charger to let it charge, but it never fully came on again. When I turn it on, both of the backlights come on, the power light comes on, the charging light comes on, and the wifi light will come on. The 3D slider light does not. If I hold the power button, but screens turn on and the 3D light and displays the regualr "In Sleep Mode, the system can..." message. From this screen I can power off fully, but when I try to go to the Home screen, it lags indefinitely.
With my 3DS in this state I've been looking for solution, I found out about the system update screen where you turn the system on holding L, R, A and up. This worked fine, both of my screens turned on and I could update, if there was an update to update. I've waited months for the update that came out a few days ago hoping that this would fix my problem. It did not. I contacted NIntendo about this problem and they didn't know what to do with it either, finally teling me to send it in for 100 bucks to fix it.
My 3DS is a launch day Black 3DS with ambassador games and everything. Every 3DS with this specific problem I've read up on so far have been 3DS from that window with ambassador games and all which leads me to believe that it might have been a defect with that specific batch of 3DS's. I made this thread to see if anyone else had the same 3DS as me that has this problem and if ANYONE has found a fix for it yet that doesn't involve me giving Nintendo 100 more dollars after the 250 bucks I paid for it at launch. Please help guys. Thank you in advance.
Pokemon X crashes
I've recently bought pokemon x and it keeps crashing when tring to save. The save becomes corrupted and i have to reset the game. The error only occurs when i try to save. I haven't been able to pass the first city:)). First time i could close the game but aftwards, the hole console froze and had to reset the console. Now i can't even delete the corrupted saved data as the console freezes. I have installed the 1.2 version for pokemon x and playing on a 3dsxl. Can someone help me? Thanks
Will 3ds Take higher than 32gb SD?
Hi, after a week on deciding on buying games for my 2ds. I feel as if the 4gb SD card that came with it is useless. I found on of my spare (sandisk ultra) 64gb micro SDXC, looking at booklet that came with the 2ds( yes someone read it) it states it can take up to 32gb sdhc. I dont mind if it doesn't work since i know i have plentiful 8gb's, But preferrably when i start buying a ton of games on eshop, i want to use the 64gb.
~Thanks for the answering.
can't update 2DS to 8.0.0
been trying like 10 times now..I'm directly beside my router so I'm still confused what the problem is..any suggestions..except for phoning customer reps
3ds sd card
Hello, I was doing research on 3ds storage and I have a few questions.
1) can I use a 64gb sdhc
2) can I use 64gb or 128gb sdxc if I convert to fas32 and of so, how do I do that?
3) can I use a dual micro sd card adapter in a 3ds? Here's a link to an example of one:http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B001RPEJA4?pc_redir=1405252717&robot_redir=1
thanks!
3DS transfer Zelda
Hello,
OK so I think I made a mistake.
I own a regular 3DS and the gold 3DS XL that came with the newest Zelda game. They have two different Nintendo IDs.
I wanted to do a transfer from my original 3DS to my new shiny gold one. Can I do this somehow despite having two different IDs?
I do not want to lose Zelda.
Thank you
Constant error messages
(Hi, I'm new, not sure if this is the right place to ask or not) The Eevee Friendly started ysterday for X and Y, and I had 4 battles with only a few error messages. Today, I had 2 battles, and now I can't do anything without getting error code 006-0501. This started after the most recent system update, starting with Miiverse.
I already looked up the error code, but all I came up with was a blank page.
Other information: My Pokemon X cartridge was bought about a month after it's release.
I play on a Fire Red 3ds that was opened on Christmas the year it was released.
Well uh... help?
Reason why I edited the post: edited information about the error code

3DS Circle Pad Advice
Hi guys. I bought my 3DS about 2-3 years ago and messed up the circle pad on it shortly thereafter. I heard that the repair would cost me $135 (I'd rather just get a new 3DS bundled with a game than pay that much to repair my current one) and realized I had no warranty after looking up my serial code on nintendo's website (which seemed odd since I had it bought it so recently, but that's another story). I was debating for a while whether I should try to send it in to be repaired or just get a new one, and during that time I started playing my Wii and PC more and sort of forgot about my 3DS. When I heard about the new Super Smash Bros. coming out for 3DS, I remembered that I still had one.
Circle Pad Damage: I'm not sure if there's something stuck under the circle pad or if I messed up the actual hardware, but it only moves completely smooth in the down direction, the up direction is especially stiff. My sister was using the 3DS when the circle pad got messed up, so glitter might've gotten in there or something. I tried using some compressed air to see if I could knock anything out of it, but to no avail.
I saw this guide on the internet: https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Nintendo+3DS+Circle+Pad+Replacement/6064 that shows how to take apart the 3DS and get to the circle pad (since I have no warranty to void and the 3DS is pretty useless with a broken circle pad, I figure there's no harm in trying it). I've also heard that a new circle pad can be harvested from a circle pad pro accessory.
Does my issue sound like there's simply something lodged under the circle pad that could be removed with enough compressed air (or by taking apart the 3DS if necessary), or does the circle pad need to be replaced with one from a circle pad pro? Thanks in advance.
Pokemon Y Game Not Showing Anymore
Hello. I was playing my copy of Pokemon Y a couple of days ago and suddenly it just stopped showing up on the home page of my 3DS. I've tried other games and they work althought X almost did the same thing but started working again. I have an American 3DS XL and American Pokemon X/Y. Any help would be greately appreciated thank you.
2ds System Doesn't Work
When I turn on the system, the blue power light turns on, but I get no further response from the system. There is no audio or video output, and I have made sure that it is not in sleep mode. It hasn't been dropped or thrown (as far as I know), and I can't think of any other reason why it won't work.
I have had the system for a while, and enjoy using it, and this makes me sad I tried to call the nintendo support number that was given to me from the troubleshooting guide, but they were not available. Can someone please tell me what I can do to fix this, I would greatly appreciate your help.
