I have to physically hold down my Animal Crossing: New Leaf cartridge for it to work!

I have a game cartridge for Animal Crossing: New Leaf and up until now it worked just fine. Today my 3DS decided it didn't want to read the cartridge no matter how many times I reset the the 3DS or removed the game and put it back. The only way that the cartridge will read is if I push it in all the way and hold it there the whole time, otherwise it will freeze.

On the home screen if I stop holding the cartridge then try to start the game, the home screen will freeze but the sound will still be on. If I stop holding the cartridge on the Animal Crossing: New Leaf start screen, then the sound will stop but the screen will continue to move until I try to press A, then it will freeze.

This isn't happening with my other 3DS games, so I'm not sure why it's just my Animal Crossing game. I've already tried updating my system and that did not help at all. I'm scared that it's just my cartridge because I don't want to lose all my progress by having to buy a new game. Could anybody help tell me what's wrong and how I can fix it?

Error Code 002-120 In Alpha Sapphire

When I try connecting to PSS it keeps saying I need to get the lastest version of the game from the Nintendo Eshop. I bought the game on release and didn't have any problems connecting to the PSS before now. Anyone else having this problem? if so do you know anyway of fixing it. I looked of the Eshop and cant find any update for Alpha Sapphire or Omega Ruby.

How to evolve Kirlia to Gallade?

Hi there. I have a question. I know how to do it. I have a under level 30 male Kirlia that I got from the GTS & A Fetchling that has a Dawn Stone. I tried to battle, but he did not evolve. I haven't got to the part where u can get it, and IDK how to put it into the Items from Fetchling. Can you help?

 

(PS: My game is Y, &, it dosen't freeze, etc)

SD Card Transfer/Internet Problem

I am currently using my 3DS XL that I have had for over a year now with no problems until now. I always used an 8GB SDcard. I bought a 32GB yesterday and transfered my items over easily. No problem there. After I did I heard there were some deals on the eshop so I tried to access it but couldn't. I was stuck on an eternal eshop loading screen and was forced to shut off my system because I couldn't click the home button either. I tried and failed again. I didn't mind it and started playing some games. Today I tried to play the new smash bros online with a friend and I could not connect online. I went to my internet settings and everything is fine. It gives me the error #003-1101 and says to check my internet password which I triple checked. Everything else in my home is connected fine including my Wii U. Did my new SD card mess up my internet connection? I know for a fact it stopped working after the transfer but I do not know why. Also I do not know if this matters but the wireless light on the side of my 3DS is a solid yellow color but it was always blinking before. Thanks for any help anyone can provide!

Leakage between 3DS screens???!

I just bought the Persona Q version of the 3ds and fell asleep on it last night and....

 

I know this is going to sound bizarre and like a certain male sleeping bodily function, but this is a genuine question.

When I opened it up in the morning, there was a clear, unscented, viscous fluid between the screens. It looked like ectoplasm or someone blew their nose in my ds. I googled 3ds leaks but only saw batteries. Touch screen and everything seem to work fine (- thank you, Jesus). But I need to know what it was. Is there some kind of lubricant in the bind of the ds to help it close and open? Thats the only thing I can imagine. I looked in the sofa but can't find anything. I drool a lot when I sleep so if no one else has any idea, then I will assume that's what it was, but usually drool has a scent, morning breathe, and this did not.

 

I'm at a loss and not sure if I need to repair the system some how. Any ideas are appreciated.

Not getting coins for registering products

I just registered a 2ds a ds and a ds xl and got no coins for them. Only one is in the log for 100 coins( but no coins in total coins :I), the other says it is registered but no coins given and the brand new 2DS I registered and it is not in my log as registered but says already used when I try to enter the code. I want these coins as they are about 300 in total. Thanks,

How to transfer 2 SD Cards w/ data to a blank separate one?

Hello! I've seen a few other questions pertaining to this dilemma but I have not found any accurate answers or ways to solve this problem (probably because I was not smart and did not bother to research possible side effects when I tried this).

 

So on my 3ds I have a standard 4 GB SD card w/ my all my data on it. When Pokemon Alpha Sapphire came out I did not have enough data to download it without deleting another game (and being very short-sighted I did not think to delete something and create back-up data and re-installing when I was able to upgrade) and downloaded it instead to a separate 2 GB SD card spare.

 

I understand now that I cannot simply transfer the data over to a new separate 32 GB SD card because for some reason my downloaded games from my 4 GB SD card do not transfer over. However I noticed that in the combined 32 GB SD card some of the data did happen to transfer over when I checked Data Management in the System Settings and clicked Extra Data Management in the Nintendo 3DS category. I thought that I would be able to create Save-Data Backups for the games I wanted to transfer over and re-install them on the 32 GB SD card but they still did not end up transferring.

 

I have seen posts claiming that it is possible to transfer the data, but it is tedious and difficult to determine which files hold which games however I have never found a post or video showing or explaining how to do this in detail. If anyone has any idea how to solve this please let me know!

 

(Sorry for the long explanation and feel free to pm for more clarification if needed).

streetpass mii plaza will not load please help!

Everytime I try to start mii plaza it says "an error has occured, hold down power button to shutdown...." no error code.

 

I have tried it several times.

I have the 3DS XL Zelda edition, and I am afraid of losing everything, so many completed puzzles, over 1000 streetpasses ect :-(

Well, a few months ago I had a 8 GB SD card where I used to play lots of games and I finished most of them, but then, I lost it. Luckily I found it yesterday.

 

  So is there a way to transfer data from a SD card to another?... Specific data from a game?

3ds an error has occured when wirless is on

i cant acces any wirless conection or udpate my nintendo 3ds, since i download the smash bros demo i get : An error has ocurred. Hold down the power button to turn of the power then turn it on and try again. when i turn on the 3ds  i cant use the 3ds  whith the wirless on when i turn it off the games work fine but when i turn it on i get this messege. i cant get sreet pass ether nothing. please help

SD transfer confusion

Okay so I'm trying to transfer between to SD cards (from a smaller to a larger). when I transfer my content the suggested way, my content changes. I long ago deleted excitebike and super mario land to make room for Fire Emblem Awakening. When I transfer, all of my content, DLC, extra data and Fire Emblem are deleted. They are instead replaced with excitebike and Super mario land. Please help?

Pokebank deleted over 50 of my Pokemon

I had collected all of the pokemon necessary for the shiny charm in my Y game and saved them in Pokebank. I know exactly what was stored there and even how some of the boxes were arranged, and some I know general levels. A few even had Pokerus.

 

I went to transfer my Pokemon to Alpha Sapphire today to get the complete the dex in my new game, and I noticed about 50 were missing. I have absolutely no idea what happened. They were all legitimately caught, and were safely transferred. I never tried anything funny like resetting to duplicate them or anything either.

I have checked with the search function in all of my games and the bank and cannot find them.

 

Has this happened to anyone? What can I do at this rate?

 

This really makes me mad since these took so long to collect.

Pokemon Alpha Sapphire crashes after the credits

Hello!
I bought Pokemon: Alpha Sapphire version recently (as soon as it came out, actually) and I love it!
I finally beat the Elite Four.
After that, the credits played.
After THAT, there was a cutscene, and then a battle with May.
I easily defeated her, and then there was yet another cutscene,
and then the game crashed.
I restarted the console, watched the credits again, beat May again, and it crashed yet again.
It happens when the game's name appears, before the copyrights and stuff.
The name "Pokemon Alpha Sapphire" appears for a few seconds, then the screen blacks out and the sentence
"An error has occurred..." appears on the bottom screen.
What should I do?
I even tried to delete and re-download the game (I have the download version...), and it still crashes...
I also used the "Software Repair" feature on the eShop, and it's still happening.

Transferring Data

So my 3DS XL recently broke and I have been unable to fix it and  contacted Nintendo and nothing worked so I had to get a new DS. My old 3DS came with Mariokart 7 preinstalled. Is there a way to transfer that game over to my new 3DS (also XL)? I thought I read somewhere that I could just put the old SD card in the new DS, but I was unsure on if this was true or not. If it is, would that also bring my Miis over as well? I usually wouldn't care but I have a game that uses my mii and I don't want to mess with that too. Any help appreciated!

3DS Serial Number is invalid on Club Nintendo, why?

So I just bought a new Nintendo 3DS (It was already open just to see that everything is inside). It didn't have a Club Nintendo PIN thingy, my only guess is that no 3DS comes with that. So I was registering the serial number but it's invalid, apparently. Yes, it's a normal 3DS and the Serial Number is the same in the box and in the console itself. Any help, please? I've tried writing it down without spaces, and spaces... please, I beg for your help!

 

Oh, forgot to mention, the Warranty thingy has a little QR code with a number code in the top corner, and yeah, I also tried registering that code.

My Sd card isn't working.

Hello, I seem to be having a issue with a sandisk extreme plusxc micro sd card. I just got this sweet sd card two days ago and its not having any errors with my computer, only my 3ds xl is giving me the "no sd card inserted". I turned the write block on and it detected it being there but when i turned it off it gave me the same thing. My old sd card still works, but i really want to upgrade. Does any one here know how to fix this?

Frequent Freezing and Crashing

Since I purchased my 3DS I've noticed that all the games seem to crash or freeze frequently. This first game I purchased/noticed this with was Animal Crossing: New Leaf. For that game it seem somewhat related to the internet connectivity - the WiFi would cut out (even though I wasn't using it in the game) or I would accidentally switch the connectivity switch and the game would freeze and then crash. The next games I started playing were Pokemon Black and Pokemon Black 2. I've never had problems with these games, presumably because they are DS games and not 3DS games. It happened once or twice with The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds but I never noticed any pattern that would seem to cause it. In Super Smash Bros. it happens more frequently, most often occuring in Smash run or in Classic/All-Star but surprisingly (and fortunately) only so far once online (which didn't count as a disconnect for me, for what it's worth). Pokemon Art Academy has never had the problem.

 

The worst, though, has been Pokemon Alpha Sapphire. I started playing last Monday and I love it. Unfortunately, it crashes all the time and it's made me paranoid to the point where I obsessively save. To this point it has only once ever occurred in battle (the post-credits battle with May, which I am now redoing so I don't know if it will happen again or not [edit: It did not. That means I have never had a game freeze at the same part twice, if that helps diagnose any]), and never in a cinematic scene. I have not noticed any pattern to it. It's been quite frustrating, really.

 

The crashes/freezes come in one of three types:

  • The game just freezes and is non-responsive until I force the system to restart
  • The game quits and displays an error message over the home screen
  • The game quits and the system shows and error message (not over the home screen, by itself) and I have to force the system to restart before I can do anything

No error codes are ever displayed, just something like "the game encountered an error and had to quit."

 

None of them seem to have an obvious cause. Is this a common problem with 3DS systems? Is mine just buggy? Is there a way to prevent or minimize the occurence of these errors?

Problem with regions?

Hello everyone.

I have a 3DS from the US, and recently moved to Europe, and wanted to play the new Pokemon ORAS, so I went to the nearest GameStop store and bought me a copy of Omega Ruby. After getting home and trying to play, I always get an error saying that the Card Could Not Be Read. After googling for a while, I found out that the 3DS has a region lock (who the **** region locks stuff anymore?), so that's probably why the game is not working. I went back to the store, but they obviously didn't want to accept a return as the problem was not on the game itself, but on my console. So now I have a Omega Ruby here beeing used as paper weight because I can't do anything with it, and lost 50 euros for nothing. I wanted to know if there is anything that I can do to get my card working. Not necessarily this one I have here, maybe change it somehow, or get a eStore copy of it, I don't know, anything that makes good use of the 50 euros I just wasted.

Left Bumper stuck from normal gameplay.

I bought the zelda edition of the Nintendo 3DS XL a little over a month ago. In that time, from normal gameplay, the left bumper has become stuck down. Nintendo is really charging $135 to fix this even when I'm covered under warranty? I'm not going to pay $135 to get this fixed and replaced with another button that could break in a month. Does anyone have an at home way to fix this? This is definitely the last purchase I make from Nintendo and will encourage other's not to purchase their products if this is how they treat warranties and their flimsy product.

Need help with nnid

I have a Wii U and a 3DS linked to the same nnid. The problem is that the 3DS is broken to the point it cant turn on (don't ask). I have recently gotten a new 3DS but i don't know if or how I can link the new 3ds to the nnid. PLS HELP!!!!
